מִסְתָּרm. (b. h.; סָתַר I) secret.Pl. מִסְתָּרִים, מִסְתָּרִין, מִסְתּוֹ׳ Gen. R. s. 82 (quot. adopted fr. Jer. 49:10) גליתי מִסְתָּרָיו בשבילוכ׳ I laid open his (Esaus) secrets in order to expose his bastards; Yalk. Jer. 331; Yalk. Chr. 1073 מסתי׳ (corr. acc.). Ex. R. s. 19 אל ידעי מִסְתּוֹרָיו shall not learn his (Israels) secrets. Ḥag.5b מקום … ומ׳ שמו the Lord has one special place whose name is mistarim (Jer. 13:17).V. מִסְטֵירִין.
